Indigo
Indigo is an ancient, ambiguous colour, one whose ties with Indian history runs very deep.
With intricate aari thread embroidery on hand loom fabrics like khadi & chanderi, this collection is relevant for all seasons, spaces and personalities. The embroidery is inspired by magnificent Mughal arches and Mughal motifs. Throughout the collection, there are borders, full garments that see repetitive arches with floral motifs encompassed in them, or big floral motifs that look like they are emerging from a pot (also a famous Mughal motif) placed across a garment. This collection was first made in shades of indigo, and an extension that followed a few months later, was made in multiple other hues including, bright neon pinks, bright yellow and oranges, shades of brown and other printed fabrics too. A lot of silhouettes such as the cape and long gharara, or high slit kurtas with flared lehengas, were inspired by the Mughal Era too.
This collection is perfect for almost any wedding occasion with its super trendy silhouettes, bright colours that never run out of style and it’s embroidery that’s rooted in deep Indian heritage.
